Best Restaurants in Savannah - Tiny Guide

Best Restaurants in Savannah

Savannah’s dining scene spans everything from barbecue and Southern staples to Mexican and Indian, offering a range that feels both diverse and distinctly local. The best spots aren’t just defined by cuisine, they’re the ones that feel right in the moment, whether planned or discovered along the way.

Local Favorites & Standout Dining Spots

The Laundry Diner

A newer addition with a nostalgic feel, The Laundry Diner blends classic diner energy with a more thoughtful, modern approach. It was created by Liz and James Massey, the team behind Two Tides Brewing, Float Coffee, and Smol Bar, and is located in a restored former laundromat.

Strange Bird

Created by the team who founded FARM in Bluffton, SC, Strange Bird leans into bold flavors and unique dishes. The menu is very inventive and the space is equally cool, located in a restored streamliner. This local favorite is only a short walk from Forsyth Park.

Treylor Park

Playful and unapologetically creative, Treylor Park has become a go-to for those looking for something different. The menu mixes comfort food with unexpected twists, combinations you never thought were possible, yet delicious. Fun fact, it's been featured on the Travel Channel and Netflix, and as locals we know why!

Tequila’s Town

Lively and full of energy, Tequila’s Town brings classic Mexican to the heart of Savannah. The carnitas tacos are divine, yet we encourage you to explore their menu because there's a lot of classic Mexican dishes that are worth trying.

FraLi Gourmet

For something more understated, FraLi Gourmet offers a focused, quality-driven approach. Known for its handmade pastas and attention to detail, it’s a quieter standout that’s well worth seeking out, right next to Savannah Coffee Roasters. P.S. their sandwiches are probably the best in town and very authentic.

Restaurants Worth Seeking Out

Some places in Savannah are less about convenience and more about the experience itself. Whether it’s thoughtful execution, a refined atmosphere, or something that stands apart, these are restaurants worth planning around.

Noble Fare

Intimate and detail-driven, Noble Fare offers a more refined take on dining in Savannah. The menu is carefully composed and the space feels personal, making it a strong choice for a slower, more intentional evening.

Common Thread

Located inside a restored Victorian home on East 37th Street, Common Thread takes a seasonal, ingredient-driven approach that blends Lowcountry cooking with broader global influences. The restaurant has earned national recognition, including James Beard Award semifinalist nods for chefs Brandon Carter and Joseph Harrison in the Best Chef: Southeast category.

Lucia Pasta Bar - Tiny Guide

Lucia Pasta Bar

Centered around handmade pasta and a focused menu, Lucia Pasta Bar keeps things simple in the best way. Located in Starland Yard, it's a bit off the beaten path but locals keep coming back to this recently opened restaurant because the pasta is worth it.

Ardsley Station - Tiny Guide

Ardsley Station

Blending a relaxed neighborhood feel with a more elevated menu,
Ardsley Station
offers a versatile dining experience. It’s equally suited for a casual meal or a longer, more laid-back evening, with a setting that encourages you to stay awhile.
